can I put 195/75/R14 on the rear of my '80 sd?

I found some cheap good tires and figured it would up my gas mileage some
but not sure if it's gonna touch anything on speedbumps or so
thanks for all input people!

195/75-14 is an American car tire with no speed rating.

this belongs in wheels/tires, but would only be running a top michelin or equivalent if it were me.
the 14" wheel is WAY undersized for the chassis, downright scary on the highway at times, even with the suspension/steering in proper shape.

tires

I run 205 75R 14s and I don't have any trouble with them hitting anything (1980 300sd). I think that is about the largest you will want to go with the 14 inch rims....

I agree with the previous post that the 14s are too small for the car.

The tires you have should be great.

cool, I'll put them on then. it's just that the allignment is off so my tires wear out quick, and i don't want to sell the car with the insides of the tire showing. The buyer knows about the allignment issue.
you have them in the back or all 4?

wow, I'm never scared in my car...It's too slow for that. I trust the 116 chassis a lot better than my 126's though. the 126 needs michelin's for sure, even with the 15 inch I have on them. but then again, I'm used to big french cars with front wheel drive and 5 speed manuals, which is of course a lot better.
14 inch is indeed a little tiny for the car.

I put a set of firestones on all four. I keep my back pressure at 36 and my front at 32. It has seemed to do well for me.
