air pressure question

I am running 205x55x16 on 7.5 8 hole wheels(replicas) and getting a little wear to the outside edge on my tires(Michelin) with 20psi----alignment shop says the tires should be at 29psi and alignment is in spec for the car 87 300TDT ---------I am afraid 29psi will cause premature wear to the center of the tire-----------any recommendations
Joel
ps --every piece of front suspension is new

WOW, 20psi is way too soft....bordering on dangerous.

29psi is not going to cause accelerated wear in the center of the tire.

29psi=winter max traction
32-34psi=all around
36psi=higher performance
