I've never seen a W124 with BBS.

The general consensus is that BBS style wheels look good on a BMW, but not a Mercedes.

Mercedes body styles lend themselves to blocky style wheels, like AMG wheels.

I don't know if this works, but I clicked on The Tire Rack link and seleceted '87 300E, and 52 wheel choices come up.

I agree......the AMG monoblock is my first choice but I think I'd like the old BBS RZ.

Most of the Tire Rack stuff is too modern......I'd like a period correct wheel.

I'll probably just get some monoblocks.....if anything.

Check my ad out in parts for sale. I will be offering two sets of vintage BBS RS three piece wheels that will fit 107 to 86, 116, 123 and 126. They will be 7" front and 8" rear x 16" diameter. These were the top of the line BBS wheels, and retailed for around 750. per wheel in '90, according to my BBS spec. book. Offsets on these will be 11 and 24. One set is silver spoke with chrome lips, and the other is gold spoke with anodized lips. They will be offered in near concourse condtion. I have not set a price yet as I have not finished detailing them.

Thanks

Rod

BBS look great on ANY car, Mercedes included. Here are two from our stables. And another friends car...

Both of these are BBS RG, VERY RARE!

These are BBS Mahles, which are very strong but not as light as the RS/RG/RF/RZ/RM derivitaves.

This is the Schulz 190E coupe wearing RZs:

Look on German eBay and maarktplats.nl there are lots of old wheels for these cars and many of them are cheap enough that the freight will be offset compared to the same wheel bringing more money in the US because they are more rare here.

Plan on refinishing most used wheels out there, especially if the wheels were exposed to salt.
