R12 vs R14 ball seat radius
how do i figure what what ball seat radius my aftermarket wheels have? I know stock W210 MB wheels have R12 radius. appreciate any info, is R12 = 12mm? where do i measure? also, if i used R12 lug bolts on wheels that actually require R14 lugs, am i totally screwed?

i dont know how to measure, but i know your stock bolts for your model year
and rim are 12mm. so, take your bolt and see if they'll fit inside the new rim with slop at the seat....as well as another 1mm clearance inside the bolt hole. if so, the rim seat is prob 14mm. rushing to watch the game but if i think of other tips, i'll post. here is a simplistic diagram. oh, the 14mm ball will be .98" across whereas the 12mm would be .88". gotta run...
