18" wheels on a 300ce
FYI, I just went through the complete suspension on my 1990 300ce. New Eibach springs, Bilsteins SPORT shocks, new spring cups, Cross drilled and slotted rotors, new rubber everywhere, and on and on and on. Went to order some 17's on line. wheels and tires. Online shop was out of 17's in wheel of choice and offered an upgrade to 18's, same wheel and another tire upgrade just to keep my business. I said yes. With the much stiffer suspension, I still get tire rub when I hit any kind of surface profile change other that a slow speed speed bump. Get rub on a corner going to fast as the suspension squats and settles in. Really would recommend 17's unless you can flair your front quarter panel wheel opening. Very upsetting, and unhappy. Looking to flair front wheel openings somehow in order to save the tires and let me keep the 18's. They look really great on the car. Used Privat 7 spoke with polished rims!

18" 300ce pics
I have to leave on a road trip, assuming I can get my wiper motor replaced, repaired by Friday this week. Will be gone for around two weeks, but will do some when I get back. It's a metallic blue with clear corners and euro headlights, along with all the suspension mod's. Really looks good! I rebuilt all the brake calipers and painted them red. Pic's to follow in a couple of weeks!
