wheel question

i just picked up a set of amg 15" wheels for my w126. they were on a 380sl so i'm assuming they will fit my car. i think i may need a different, shorter set of lug bolts with these wheels. any thoughts on either or both of these assumptions, along with sources for the lugs, will be appreciated.
thanks,
gregg

the lug length is matched to wheels. so you may need shorter lugs than with the wheels that came on the car.

is your 126 early or late? early 126s used 14" wheels and smaller front brakes. late ones had 15" wheels and larger brakes and calipers.

i don't know about the sls. they may have had two sizes of brakes too and two sizes of wheels.

if your car had 14" wheels and the new wheels are 14" you should be fine, including lug length.

if both are 15" you should be fine too. and in this case the lugs should be fine too.

sorry for the lack of info. the w126 of which i enquire is a 1990 300se w/ stock 15" wheels. the amg 15" wheels are of unknown (to me) origin but it looks like the lugs from the stock set will be too long.

you might need the stock lugs for the 14's then. I've never seen the amg's you have but I have a set of 15" ronal amg knockoffs that use the shorter 14" wheel lug bolt
