Hello Everyone...im interested in purchasing some rims for my 89 300E. I came across discount tire co. and saw that they sell AMG 5 Star's Replicas 17x8 35mm offset for $157. I know that this has been discussed before, but will i have any problems with these rims??? $157 is an excellent price for these wheels...what do you suggest??Should i go ahead and give them a try or should i stick to 17x7.5 rims ???

I am interested in these as well. They have an ad in European Car Magazine with a pic of the rims. Do you think the quality of the rims is less than par, or are AMG's overpriced? There is a huge difference in price between the two manufactures. Love to hear your thoughts.

As brianw stated in a previous post, the replicas seem to have a superior finish. For $157 ea....i will take the replicas instead of spending more money for the real thing.

brianw... i have one more question for you. When you purchased your rims did they have them in stock , or did they ship them to you.??

They had them in stock, but I had them shipped to my home address as I was just passing through town when I saw them.

Where are the pics and is the lip deeper on the 8 inch than the 7.5??? I have 17x7.5 AMG Monoblock bekkers replicas and I love them. I just wish I could get a deeper lip in the rear and keep a 215/17 tire. Thanks, Scott P.S. I think this is the wheel you all are talking about. They look great I am going to order them. Just have to decide what size? Any sugestions? 17/8 or 17/7.5?
