Hi,
I am havng trouble trying to figure this one out...say you are driving and your hands are at the 10-2 position..I notice that whenever my W124 is coming to a stop..the steering tend to steer left towards a 9-1 position....what am I missing here..I tried it on a friend's W124 but the steering does no such thing..anyone out there has similar experience on this please help...thanks Roy 1991 W124 E200 |
Roland: I believe that you have a faulty or misadjusted front brake caliper. Had that same problem when I had my 84 SL. Go to a good - and I stress, good - mechanic, and ask him to check that out. I doubt its in your wheels. I'm also assuming that your front tires are equalized in pressure. Let me know. |
Also check your tire pressure. I suspect it is more likely a brake caliper piston seizing in the bore. If it has done this for a while, you will see a difference in the pad thickness between the left and right front calipers.
