Mercedes-Benz W124 1989 Wich tyre?!

Hi ppl. first i wich all the best for everybody. going directly to the point i would like to know the tyre size that i can fix on my car car (mercedes w124 230E) i was thinking of a 225/50/R17. i must know if it is safe to put it! or i'll have troubles and if so...what's the best tyre to put in the car with a 17 momo wrs wheel. regards!

I plan on stuffing 215/50 R17s into those wheel wells.


However, the general consensus is to stick something with a 45 profile into there, as it will cause less problems in the longrun.

Then I'll go for 215/50/R17. but a doubt remains...wich rim width wheel size i can fix on the car. i was thinking in a 7,5*17. anayway thanks for the advice justinwrock!

Many people run the 17x7.5 wheel without problems.

I plan on running a set of 17x7.5 wheels on my car. It should work, assuming that the offset is correct.

Hi once more! i got a momo WRS 17x8 wheels...and i'm thinking to put it with a tire that is a 235/45/R17. is this a good choice? will it give me some kind of problems? the car is a w124 (89) year

Won't a 2.3 engine have to work unusually hard to move tires that large and wide?
