Question Bridgestone Turanza Serenity ?

When will I get to read about tests with the Serenity? I would absolutely love to see them compared head-to-head with the Turanza LSH that they are replacing!

I am thinking about getting new tires for my 1995 E320. I have 16" wheels and right now I have the the Turanza LSH. I think I would have repurchased the LSH if they were not discontinued. I was a little tempted by the Continental ContiProContact, based on the TireRack tests, since it sounded like the Conti might be almost as good in the rain as the LSH and might be a little more quiet and comfortable. I thought the Michelin MXV4 was more quiet and comfortable then the LSH, but for me the MXV4 was very bad in the rain.

The LSH is just so good in the rain and that seems critical for me with rear wheel drive and no traction control. Anyway, I am hoping that the Serenity tires will be like the Turanza LSH in the rain, but maybe slightly improved in the terms of quiet and comfort.

I love the Tirerack tests, like the one that compared the three below
Bridgestone Turanza LS-H Grand Touring All-Season 205/55R16
Continental ContiProContact Grand Touring All-Season 205/55R16
Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus Grand Touring All-Season 205/55R16

I just put ContiPros on the front of my 95 E320, after running over someone's carelessly discarded screw. I have 4-week old ContiTouring CV95's in the rear.

The ContiPros are VERY quiet, very smooth, and comfortable. All the road noise now comes from behind me. (This is also the first time the installer has not used wheel weights.) They handled great in a downpour on the highway yesterday, but then, so did the ContiTourings they replaced.

For the price ($60.00 each), they are a terrific value.

I love 'em.

I needed to replace my W124's LSH's about a month ago, and since I didn't want to buy a discontinued tire, I bought the Serenity's despite no feedback here.

I would say they handle the wet conditions every bit as well, but seem to be much quieter than the LSH's I had. Even my wife commented last week how smooth and quiet my car was with the new tires-High praise indeed!

At the same time I bought the Serenity's, I put four ContiPros on our w210 Wagon. These have also been very good in the rain, although a bit noisier than the Bridgestones.

It looks Tire Rack even has a Bridgestone promo going on now.

I think you'll love 'em too.

Thanks thornton, that is exactly what I was hoping to hear about the Serenity tires.

Thanks for your input EricSilver, I was tempted by the Conti, but Conti came on my car when new and I never really liked the tires. I purchased the car 10 years ago with 18K and I was very happy when I changed the tires. I am sure things have changed in 10 or 12 years, but I think I am going to stay with the Bridgestones

Looks like I just found my new tire.

Being that the Bridgestone Potenzas on my 500E performance flawlessly, A+ marks on all factors - ride, noise, performance, etc, etc, I can't see how a ZR 91W all season tire from the same company is going to disappoint me on the 192.092 Sportline.

Thanks for the directions fellas!
