235/45/17 on a C280 w202

I just picked up a sweet set of wheels & tires (brand new) from an e320 w210 and want to know if & how to make them work on my c280 w202. Anyone tried this before? Will they work? Do I need to pick up new lugs or other hardware?

PS - I already checked the size and there is only a 1.6% diff - it's really the offset & width I am concerned about.

Thanks in advance!

bolt spacing should be same. same with hub diameter.

bolt length will depend. so drop your existing bolt into 210 wheel and see if
same length protrudes out the hub side (same old rim and new). if too short,
then you'll need longer. if much longer than with old rims, you'll need shorter
...or you may damage your brakes.

verify that ball seat radius is the same.

ET/offset is in your hands. you have both rims so just check for ET stamping
in rear to see how they compare. your owner manual should identify what
range of ET you should/can use.

In a nutshell: Tires specs looks fine it's the same as rear tires of AMG C36 but it depends on your ET and the thickness of the wheels.

C36 tire sizes

<< Tires specs looks fine it's the same as rear tires of AMG C36 but it depends on your ET and the thickness of the wheels.>>

Nope. OE C36/C43/C32 tire sizes are 225/45-17 in front and 245/40-17 in the rear. I'm using C36 AMGs on my '01 C320 at the moment. Sorry to say that they won't fit my incoming '08 C300 since the offset is somewhere around 50mm (can't find my info on that at the moment). When the new car arrives I'm going to do a fit-check but I'm sure they won't work. I don't like the looks of the '08 wheels much and there are no options on the "Luxury" model. Curses.

Question E350 tires

The rim and tire sizes of my car are 8J x 17 H2 (38mm offset) and 245/45 R17 respectively. I am thinking about buying another set of rims for snow tires with smaller rim size (I know it might be too early). The same manual also shows the rim and tire sizes of E320 Bluetec as follows:
8J x 16 H2 (36mm) and 225/55 R16
I just wonder whether the E320 rims and tires would fit the E350. Can someone confirm this? Can I buy any steel rim with 8J x 16 H2 (36mm) on it or must I buy the rim specially for MB?

Anyone's advices are much appreciated.
