Anyone Have P215/75R15 on a W126?
I am in the process of choosing between P205/70R15 and P215/75R15. I'd like to go with the P215 because it has a better weight rating, although either are plenty enough for the car.
The wheels are 15x7 offset 25mm. Anyone running this already - will it rub? Thanks for the help, Ken 300D

Why would you run 215-75's?
That's a very tall sidewall and the handling will be like jello. The SD currently runs 215-70-14's and they aren't the best choice. I did it in an attempt to lower the highway rpm's with the 14" wheels. Can't complain though. They've got over 100K miles on them between the W123 and the W-126 over seven years. On the next change, it gets 215-65-15's, just like the '86 SDL. If you really want a taller tire, consider 16" wheels. 215-65-16 would be a possibility........but, it's a giant tire and I'd bet you'd have some rubbing on a serious jounce. |

I had 225/60-15s on 6.5 ET21.5s my SDL and it took a really big dip to get rubbing.
