Red face Help with offsets

Can't figure out offsets yet. I have a 1984 SD with bundt 14" wheels. They should be ET30. Now looking at 15" 6.5J wheels. Guy said they were ET23. Would that move tire more towards the fender? How much is 7? Thanks

Yes, the tire would move out by 7 mm = @ 1/4 inch.
