1985 300D wheel questions.

I am very sure it is in here somewhere, but I can not find it. Will stock 15" wheels from a C230 bolt onto my 1985 300D? Also, would a 15" non-stock rim that fit on an 1988 300CE fit my car the same? I think my pattern is 5/112????
I am looking for some 15" rims for my car that I will not have to use spacers. Of course I would like the widest that will fit. Thanks for the replys.

It is all a question of ET. All MBZ are 5x112, you will want an ET of <25 or plan on using spacers.

That is the problem with the rims I have now, they were tight on the tie rod. I have a shimmy with the cheap spacers I used and would rather not use them. What about a 16" rim? I mean , would the larger diam. of the rim clear the tie rod?

Sorry for the double post, but one more question. Has anyone ever changed a w124 over to studs?
