What lugs to use mounting Ronal R9s on 1988 300ce?

I took the Ronal Penta/R9s (15x7") off for the winter in place of snows on oem 15" wheels with oem lugs. Now its time to put them back on. I forgot (don't laugh) which lugs to use when mounting the R9 wheels onto my 1988 300ce. In experimenting, the standard oem size lugs were too long for the rear wheels-the car wouldnt move- and I used short ones, similar to the stock size on the 1999 clk320. However, the standard w124 oem lugs seemed fine for the front. Thanks.
