Will the rims from a 300E, Fit on my 126?

The rims I want to buy have a ET48 number on them, Will these fit my 126 body.
Also is there a web sight I can use to search which MB rims will fit my 126, I have this feeling that there is a chart some where out there that will give me this info, I just haven't found it yet.
Thank You for your help!!!
Jim

Stock 300E wheels will NOT fit on a 126.

They should with spacers.

It's the offset that is the problem.

Pretty much from the fifties up to the W140, MB used a 5 X 112mm bolt pattern and a constant machined hub opening. Bundt cakes will fit many 50s and 60s MBs, for example.

The issue is the offset. W126/R107/W114/W115/W123 all used approximately a 26mm offest, the W124 and W201 cars were from the mid to high 40's.

Your limited on the W126, pretty much to the bundt cakes or the late flat face 15" wheel if want OE. Aftermarket 8 hole wheels are around in 15 and 16, or larger sizes with the correct offset. Visit Tirerack...

One caveat: Aftermarket wheels are often out of spec. They are softer and more prone to out of true. I've come a cross a number of "oval" knock off wheels that did not have the "star" part number.

High quality spacers are available from h and r but they are expensive and you need longer bolts too.

The wheels would have to be a very good deal to make it worth using spacers.
