126 wheels on 123 again...

** I meant 126 WHEELS on a 123**

A search sort of reveals that some do and some don't fit. Not sure why the ones reported didn't except for several mentions of hitting brake calipers and some astonishment from others that they didn't fit... and nothing ever conclusive as to what ones fit and what few didn't....

So does anyone know the parts numbers of ones KNOWN to fit?

How about these? 126 400 3002

And if and were to get the right Lug bolts for these if one was to want to go from 14" Bunts to these 15" 126 flats?

I believe that any 126 wheel will work on the 123, but not vice versa.

The early 126s have the same diameter brakes as the 123. Later ones have larger brakes and won't clear a 14" wheel on the front. I think the rear will still take the 14s though.

Be sure the lugs match the wheels used.

Do you think something from a 86 SDL would fit my 83 123 Tom?

He doesn't seem to know em. All I got is the description and part number I listed above.

They are off of an 86 SDL the 15 hole style (supposedly). 5 lug (same described spacing as 123 i.e 112?) 15 inch X 7 wheels. But doesn't seem to know the offset. I imagine the requirement will include using the 126 lug bolts...

Any 126 wheel will work on any 123, I believe. The opposite is not true though. Just get the lugs that go with the wheels.

He doesn't have any long bolts for them. I would need to know correct length pf the bolts needed before I bought the wheels to be sure I could fit them.

Can I assume they are Ball seat?

And probably are 12mm X 1.5 and 17mm hex head... but the shank length is the unknown for me at this point...

from the top...

14" steelie
14" alloy bundt
15" alloy 15 hole w124
15" alloy 15 hole w126 (including 126 400 3002)

Please note the lower 2 are essentially the same bolt and are interchangeable. The extension shank on the w126 lug has been know to twist off which is a serious can o' worms situation, so I prefer the smaller w124 bolt, plus I like the recessed look.

pick and pulls are great for wheels and lugs.
