Staggered rims, same size tire
I'm changing rims on my 98 CL600. I'll be putting on 2005 S55 AMG rims which are 18x8.5J in front and 18x9J in the rear. I'd like to put on 255/45/18 tires on all four wheels. Is it ok to run the same size tire on staggered rims?

It'll probably work.
Why do you want to do it that way? Same size tires all around? Tom W

running the same size tires on different siz wheels will upset the handling of the car as sidewall deflection rates will not be the same
