Break Pads "Dragging"

I have an 86 560SL and my pads are dragging against the rotors. Before I get the breaks done (or do them myself.....) what could be the main problem(s).

Thanks for your help.

Calipers are sticking on your brakes. Rebuild the brake calipers. Check the brake rotors for unusual wear. Check the brake master cylinder for low fluid, check the brake vacuum booster for leaks. check the rubber brake lines for collapse and wear.Check the brake hard lines for erosion, rust or damage.

Brakes,

Jay

Thanks Jay....sounds like it could be a number of things. Could it be bad fluid causing it? Or should I just replace the calipers right off?

Rebuild the brake caliper that is sticking and flush the brake fluid at the same time. Brake fluid could not cause your problem.
