Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position
Just installed four Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions to replace the Kumho KH11s on my 87 300SDL.
I had it down to the RE960, the Primacy MXV4 or the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum. I went with the RE960s after reading many favorable reviews. I must say, these are some nice riding tires. About as nice as any MXV4 out there. Handling is good (not as good as the KH11) but its confident all the way up to the limit. Before, I felt the KH11 had tenacious grip even at the limit, never did I question if the grip was going to let go. With the RE960 when pushed hard (I mean HARD), my grip is questionable. But we are comparing a H rated 960 with a W Rated KH11, so I understand that the H rated tire won't perform like the KH11. Noise is almost non-existent and they don't really make much noise when pushed hard. I'm pretty happy with them. Also saw MBCA has a 100 dollar rebate when you purchase 4 this month! Anyway, I'm very pleased. I have about 500 miles on the tires so far. This is a good tire I'd recommend for a daily driver that does more spirited than normal driving. I'm pleased with my choice.
