300SD quiet long lasting 16" tires

Time for new tires on my wife's 84 300SD. She has staggered
8's and 9's BBS 3 piece wheels with cheapo Dunlop 225/50/16s
on it now. She would like something quieter and a bit better ride.
We don't have much weather here other than rain, however an
All Season tire would be good. Since it's an older diesel speed
rating doesn't exactly need to be V. Below are some I picked based
on reading here and getting advice from friends. If anyone has personal
experience please add to the list or remove what you think is no good.

225/50-16
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S==== 134.00
Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S==== 100.00
Yokohama Avid V4S=========== 99.00
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3=== 157.00=== 50.00rebate
Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position=== 141.00

+1 For the RE960AS PP. If you are a MBCA member there is a 100 dollar rebate too.

What we purchased for the 300SD

Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S==== 100.00

This the tire off MY list that my wife decided to purchase. I was hoping
the tire rack guy would comment on my list. He did not so she picked the
Michelin Pilot, as they had them discounted at the local tire shop. They
don't really look "sporty", I'd say they look "beefy". The Dunlops had it on visuals. She said that they are pretty quiet, much more so than the Dunlops. She likes the "feel". I wanted the BridgeStones, but what do I know? We'll see how they last. So far so good. I like my Toyos on the TD
so far, if they last OK I'll buy another set.

redassag00 is your lawnmower guy gif sig YOU? That is so funny I took
it to work to show it off. Reminded us all of that band in the 70s? The Village People. Pretty cool. Cracked us all up! I think it's great!
