Bad Tires: YK420
I just replaced the Yokohama YK420's from my C220. They only had 20k and these tires are rated to 70k. I had noticed that there was a slight wobble at slow speeds and vibration at higher speeds. Had them balance but no effect. I wasn't sure what it was but a I had a feeling it was the tires. They were also worn down to less than 1/2 the tread. I first brought it to the attention of the local Discount Tire store but they blew it off to a problem with my car.
After driving 800 miles to VA, I decided I was not going to put ourselves thru this uncomfortable ride plus the negative effect on the car for the trip back. I replaced them with BFGoodrich Touring TA from Sams Club. The diference was night and day. No more wobble or vibration. I beleive the YK420s are tires Discount Tire push. Could be exclusive to them. Not happy with their response. Over the years I have purchased my tirs from DT. But the last 3 sets have been from either Sams or Costco and have had no complaints.

YK420 and YK520 are made by Yokohama for Discount.
YK420= AVID H4/V4
