wheel downgrade

I downgraded from the C280 8 hole wheels I have been running for a while now due to the crappy tires on it. Eagle-co had some nice bundts with good michelins on it so.. we traded and now I am back to the marshmallow ride. I already miss being able to throw my car into turns without tire squeel... oh well.

Methinks these tires will last longer.

I'd NEVER go back

My TD had 14" Bundts and 2 new front tires and 2 pretty new rears.
I hated the squishy feel even though it was less harsh. I installed
16" alloys and Toyo Proxes. Now the ride is a little firmer but it handles
so much sportier. my drive to work is over a somewhat winding hiway.
I can go pretty much as fast as my XJS. No squeal, with a very postitive steering input. I'd trade a bit of luxury for the big positive
handling increase anyday.

I should switch to smaller wheels too....

I like the look of the hubcaps on the W123s more though.

was that in like a straight line?

I have a fresh suspension as of 2 years ago and the car handles like new so when I get the opportunity to have fun on some nice curve, I do it. Which is a lot of times

plus I put like 30k on the set of tires I got with the last wheels and who knows how many were on the tires

HA HA, yeah I drive in a straight line 98% of the time except in I have been drinking or there is a turn in the road .

Just running 205/70/14 Big O Tires. I live on a curvy mountain rd, most driving is around town. several trips to TX, OK, OR, UT and quite a few to Carson City NV. over hwy 50 and 80.

How in the world is a transition from crappy tires to Michelins a downgrade?
