Tire Pressure - 1988 560SL

First of all hello to everybody.

Adam here. I need input on Tire Pressure for my 88' 560SL? I'm running
235/45-17" on 8,25" 500SL rims.

I was trying to find any information but it is not easy. At this moment I am running 36psi front/rear.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Put what the tire sidewall says. Personally I put in about 10% less if it's cooler out and the tires are cold. Once you start driving and the pavement heats up the air pressure will increase.

Thanks James

Tire sidewall says 51 PSI max pressure but I am affraid that it may be too much?

That sounds high...but if the tire was designed for it, I have no problem with doing that. As said before I'd fill them cold to about 45psi.

Both rear/front? or should I try to fill rear more than front. Standard tires should be: front 29 psi/rear 33psi

No, do not fill the tire to the maximum psi as stated on the sidewall. It will result in a poor ride quality and less grip.

I'd say go with the MB spec, but add +3-5 PSI depending on your driving style.
