Just curbed a wheel--good repair shops in LA area?

It had to happen--this morning I curbed one of my Carlssons and left a bit of a gouge. Anybody know of any good wheel repair shops in the Long Beach, CA area?

Chagrinidly yours

Bill

Globe Tire Stores do a lot of aftermarket and an excellent chrome exchange. It is where most local MB dealers get their chome wheels. they do have contacts for repairs and refinishing. I have used the one on PCH in Manhatten Beach for years. Ed

I took Mark's advice and contacted Sander at The Wheel Supply. My repair is going to cost about $65 and take 1 to 2 days. Sander picked up the wheel at my house today (how convenient is that??) and will get it back to me either tomorrow pm or Friday am. I don't know if the $65 includes balancing the wheel/tire combo again but I think it does.

I got a quote from an outfit in Stanton, CA that wanted a flat fee of $110 plus $16 for mounting/balancing, but would do it in 24 hrs. They did not pick up and deliver, however. I can't remember the name of the place but the phone number is 888-592-5569 and they have several facilities scattered about the country.

Cheers

Sander is supposed to bring the wheel by this morning at about 11:30 (I'm home today having some HVAC work done on the house). I will keep you posted. So far I am impressed with Sander's service but I need to see the actual repair before I can wax enthusiastic without reservation.

My dog is (first) a lucky dog of course, as is any dog that gets chauferred in a Merc--including me, and (second) either a police dog mix with something shorter and blockier, or mostly a Belgian Malinois (sp?). See my web page for a picture. For reasons I can not always comprehend he truly loves to go for rides and is deeply hurt when I go someplace without him. Alas, I can not take him to work with me.

What year is your wagon?

Cheers

Bill

Bill,I have a 2000 e class wagon that is the transport to and from work. I wanted a 124 wagon but could NOT find a CLEAN/LOW MILES ONE, but i found a amg hammer 124 wagon 6.0 from amg west but it was a very tired put away wet too many times and then found this web site re barry at amg west thank you thank you mbshop!!! and then looked into a e55 wagon well thats out of the question first find one then import it and epa and dot it,insure it and find a aftermarkit warranty for it cause mbusa said what warranty are you talking about?and then the big one you have to PAY for it the total was 110,000 oh and my bank said if its not in the blue book mb does not make it, oh well I like the wagon its a great ride for the dogs and the chauffeur ME its so much better than the ml i HAD. Sander was just here, the wheel looks perfect and the service was superb. Total: $65.00

Couldn't be happier, as soon as my wife is back the dog and I are going for a spin.

I had a Toyota pickup before getting the wagon but I got tired of driving a truck (handling and comfort). The wagon is just an amazing improvement. The only thing I miss about the truck is the customer service. Toyota is light years better than Mercedes!

Cheers

Just got my rim back from Sander (The Wheel Supply)

I got my 18" Brabus rim back from Sander today. It had a minor curb rash. The repair work is excellent and the customer service is even better! Sander is a fair guy and will tell you the truth. It doesn't get any better than this.
