Snow tires
I need snow tires for my truck. I have several questions. I use the truck to plow snow, so I need a real snow tire. I also don't drive the truck a lot, so I just want to get a snow tire and leave them on all year, but I don't want all season tires. I need good grip
The truck has 235/70/15 on it now. They seem very wide. I know that a snow tire should be narrow to sink through the snow. How narrow of a tire could I get before I have to start worryring abour the tire fitting on the rim? Could someone recccomend a good "best bang for your buck" tire? I could care less about name brands, I just want value. Thanks Peter |

I would go for a true winter tire due to the actual compound normally being more flexible in winter. Ice...studs are the only way to really get more grip. Something like a Nokian Hak 5 or Hak LT studded would be my choice for the ice

235/70-15 is a good size for a plow truck as the load capacity is important on that type of vehicle. I would recommend the Blizzak DMz3

I too recommend the Nokian. Studded or studless depending on your local laws.
