I'd like to know if I can use stock lugbolts with CLK aluminum wheels. I realize the seat, length and pitch must be correct. I was wondering if you had to order something special.
here's my problem...' I'm changing my 195X70X14 tires with the stock 14"Bundts off my 83 300SD and swaping them with 205X55X16 tires and CLK wheels which have the following specs...7JX16 H2 ET37 the CLK wheels BTW are 16X7.... I'm not in favor of using spacers ,but after some research I found that I can use a hubcentric spacer up front (H&R 5 MM) with the proper size lugbolts... so I won't hit the tie rod end ...the problem is I'm not sure if I can use the stock lugbolts that I used with the 14" Bundts or do I need a new length lugbolt? are there issues using these lugbolts with CLK aluminum wheels? I'm not sure if the Bundts are alum or steel .
I don't have the car handy or else I would try to measure things up.....
Can anyone give me some insite on this?
BTW..on the rear wheels I'm aware I have to use shorter lugbolts (which I'm in the process of buying from a forum member) because they are needed to not interfere with the brakes.
Thankyou
