Busted wheel bolt

Have gotten tires from sears they are the only ones that have toched lug bolts at instalation and tire rotation. well got a flat today and went too change tire they had cross threaded/overtightned stud because when I tried to remove by hand it snaped at sholder. Should they make it right or am i just pissed and barking up the wrong tree. They have not touched the car in over a year but neither has anyone else touched those bolts.

no I put appx 6,000 on car and did not know about them being prone to bolts freezing but after searching and 1hr with two cobalt drill bits I know better. And for those that run into a tough one the pounding the bolt does work on tough ones.

how have you concluded that it has been cross-threaded? I haven't read
where it's Sear's fault yet. if you use SEARCH function, you'll see that
bolt fracture is common with long necked lug bolts. is this the design you
have? (in middle)
