Question S55 18's AMG Wheels -> E500???

A friend of mine just bought a new 2001 or 2002 S55 and change his wheel set to 20's Lorinzer ... he is offering me the AMG 18's Monoblock (245 Front and 275 Rear Dunlops). It looks exactly like the one I have on my 2000 E55. Will the 18's fit the E500 '94??? Do I have to do anything special???

I word of caution. We all know that the Lorinser's make the S55 look better and are more expensive, however, tell your buddy to keep the OEM wheels. Why? If he ever trades the car in the dealer will down grade the apprasal for aftermarket wheels. Because aftermarket wheels are a personal choice and he does not want to incur any additional cost changing the wheels. People shopping at dealers do not want a modified car.

I am trying to sell/trade my 98 E430 and one dealer would not take the car with my Carlsson wheels and another dealer offered me a riduclously low price after I told him that I did not have the original wheels. I had to take off the Aftermarkets and put the OEM wheels back on.

The dealer also wants me to remove my custom chrome pieces and also wanted me to remove the AMG exhaust.

ESVIC- congrats on the E500

if you haven't done so already- would you share a post on our 500e/e500 roll call thread (there's also a thread on SF Bay Area 500e/e500 owners).

maybe SF Bay Area mercedesshop can get together with the S Cal mercedesshop 500e/e500's - - 11/25 for the GP Tuner Shootout at Willow Springs?

you will be having too much fun: E55/ E500....too many choices?

re: your question on swapping wheels- you may be able to get an instant answer from Luke and tirerack- just call him

good luck and let us know what turns out (if the S55 wheels fit properly in a +2 setup and look nice, I'd do it).

-fad
