spacers...good or bad
For those who wonder whether spacers are good or not and don't know for sure if the axles can cope with spacers...here are some pics of the genuine mercedes CL55AMG Safety car that is used in the F1:

IMHO...spacers are fine as long as:
a) they maintain hub-centricity on both sides, and b) the appropriate length/grade lug bolt is used, and c) the 'offset' created with the spacer works in the particular application The only negative is that a careless tire shop may damage or lose the spacer(s) at tire change time Porsche has been using spacers for decades |
