1983 300CD tires

This car has the standard wheels that look like bunt cakes. Its my girlfriends and i want to get her new sneakers for it. Whats my best bet as far as bang for buck?

lets see

CLK wheels
Funnel Spokes (adheraz)
8 hole wheels from the early C-class
15 hole modern bundts from the w126

it all depends on $$ and offset since all mercedes (except the g wagen and SUV's) have a 5x112 wheel bolt pattern..

just look around

I get the feeling he's looking for tires.

Budget helps a lot, either way. And we happen to have a tire and wheel forum here, too. For what it's worth, I'm running Kuhmo 795 All-Season radials on my W123, and for the little use they have seen, I am happy with them.

I was happy with yokahama avid touring tires on my w123. Inexpensive, quiet ride, and good tread life.

You can't go wrong with Michelins. Pricey, but their quality is well established.

Yokohama's are good tires, (TRZ's) that's what I have on the CD.
I have General Altimax HP's on the SD.
Got both sets from Tire Rack.

According to the sites sposors the two best tires out there are the Michelin Polit Exalto A/S and the Bridgstone Potenza Pole Position. Both available in 14".

My car got a set of Falkens installed on it right before I bought it. I've driven it around 10k and the fronts are starting to show wear on both the inside and outside edges of the tread. I'm going to do a front to back rotation to try to even out the wear, but so far I'm not impressed...

For long life Michelins and Toyos are both top shelf.

Best bang for the buck ----- Sams or Costco...

BFGoodrich Touring TA. They have Michelins too if you have $$ to spend.

A friend bought a set of tires at Wally World, no name, one didn't last through the warranty.
I used to be a Michelin man, but they're over priced, and the Pilots are high performance tires, think low tread life.

I like the Yokohama's
Check www.tirerack.com
Even if you don't buy from tirerack, you can use their price to beat down your local tire store.
