8V wheels on 16V

Sure. they should fit as a spare. The 16V uses 15 x 7 inch wheels with 49 mm offset. The 8V uses 15 x 6 inch wheels with the same offset.

I was concerned about brake caliper clearance.

There should be MORE clearance with the smaller width wheels.
