W126 wheels for a W123???

Hi All,

I have an 84' 300TD wagon, it came with low profile wheels, makes a harsh ride. I have a chance to get some bundt wheels off a W126 chassis, with a 23mm offset. Will these fit my beastly W123 wagon?

whats the best tire for a cush ride?

thanks alot,
Philip
