Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S & Air Pressure
I have a set of these on my 99 clk; I've keep them inflated at 30 lbs psi since new, which is 7,000 miles ago. I've been disappointed in how they handled, understeer in the dry and feel like they're sliding when it rains, so I checked the mb decal at the gas tank, and inflated them to the maximum stated: 32 psi in front & 36 psi in rear. Boy, what a difference. The car was so much more responsive overall, and felt like it was borne to be floored, & mpg also improved. Now I'm waiting to see if wet handling has improved. Suggest you all try running your tires at the highest psi specified by mb.

Glad things worked out, what is the max pressure listed on the tires themselves?

Try 42/44 psi front/rear and see how you like it.
