Luke - can you carry this?

In the Hotrod discussions, some Dutch members were talking about these wheels (particularly model R720) for an E500

http://www.ruotecompany.com/prodotti/ourmanuf.htm

These appear to be italian replicas of the sport wheels on a 2001 E430. I have not seen those wheels anywhere else yet - they sure are nice.

Luke ya know I like those wheels too. the R720 and the R719 models.

Both are beautiful wheels.

If you could get your hands on em, I'd be interested too, though I'd have to shift some budgeting around... hehe

That wheel isdesigned for the S-Class and uses 14mm lug hardware so, it will not work on your E500 ... have you seen the MM Bello ?

If you look at this thread, it seems that E500 could be fitted.
I, myself, drive a 1997 E420.

ASR defeat-switch

I agree the bellos are pretty nice but they are not an OE duplicate.

the replica may be made to use 12mm lug hardware I would suggest that you call discount direct. They get wheels from that company

If you can find an actual MB wheel, I would get those over 99% of all after-market wheels.

Those produced for MB and with the MB-Star are 30-40% stronger, and in the case of Ronal, the majority of them are forged.

Almost all of the aftermarket manufactures I know of, have said the same thing. Making wheels for MB is a PITA because of the testing, longevity, and strength that Mercedes mandates. This results in lower production yields as well.

Even an expensive wheel like AMG doesn't necessarily mean it's as strong as a factory MB wheel.

Best of luck,

:-) neil
