1980 300sd wheels and tires

My newly acquired 1980 300sd has 14x6 bundt rims on it with very old 185/75 tires. According to the owners manual, these specifications are correct, however I would like to go with a 205/70 tire. Would a 205/70 work ok with a 14x6 rim?
