300D - Michelin or Uniroyal??

My new addition (84 300D) needs new tires -Looking for opinions on which tire to buy --- The Michelin Harmony, or the Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring?

Both have proper side wall strength and speed ratings, and both have an 80,000 warranty...Uniroyal set of 4 out the door $314 - Michelin Harmony set of 4 out the door $383...

Michelin owns Uniroyal...$69 difference...??

Michelin, no question.

How many people claim that their tires are as good as Uniroyal?

I put Michelins on my 280CE and I love them. I got them from Costco for 300 out the door. They really give a smooth ride at 80 MPH, and zero road noise.

I have been very happy with the Michelin X radials for my 123 and 116 cars.

I am trying the hydro edge tires on the 124 wagon.

Sams has an instant rebate of $70 for a set of 4 michelins right now.

Michelin or General Tire. I have a set of the General Tire AltimaxHP's on the W124, and they are great, very grippy, and great in the rain/snow.

On my W126 I have a set of Micheline Destiny/Harmony....they are an excellent tire, about $30 apiece more than the Generals though....

Ditto.

I just put a set of these on mine and they are very smooth running. I just wouldn't consider another brand. That's just me...

I purchased a set of Michelin tires for my Camry Solara and it changed the car so much I can't believe it. Michelin for sure I will never buy another tire. My 116 and 123 will get them next time.

I have Pirelli P4s on my 300SD, pretty good tires around the same price. I'm not sure they sell them widely though, got mine through Tire rack (who I would also recommend)

I just bought Michelin Hydro Edge tires for my 300CD. Got them from Tire Rack. Great service and fast delivery! Call them if you want to get perspective on the different brands.

Agreed.

Pirelli, Uniroyal, Firestone, Goodyear...........basically all junk..........with few exceptions.

When you pay a bit less than Michelin, you really don't get what you paid for.

All other tires are made by Morons?
