Michelins ?
Seems that most really like Michelins.
I do as well, except that they seem to wear fast. I've gotten not even 25k out of my last two sets, which were Energy MXV4's. Both on the 123 and 124. How many miles do you get out of your Michelins? |

MX Michelins on my 240D go about 50-60k or so. Of course that model sedan won't burn much rubber even if you try to. Plus, a diesel with a manual trans equals more engine braking and less wheel braking so they do last very well...and ditto on the brake pads.

I currently have 61K miles on a set of Pilot Exalto AS radials on my C230 Kompressor. The tires have been rotated on a regular basis and I check the inflation pressures every week or two. The last time I rotated them they had 4-5/32nds of tread depth left. I think I'll be replacing them in the next 5-6 months and there is absolutely no doubt about what tire I'll be replacing them with.....another set of Michelins.
The price of Michelins is higher but there is no doubt in my mind they make some of the best tires available.

yesterday I just bought a set of Hydro Edge to try on the 124 wagon. They have a 90,000 mile tread warranty. I mounted and balanced 2 yesterday, and will do the other 2 today.
