Another w123 will it fit question

Just found a set of 15 X 7 (5 X112) rims with an offest of 20. I was wondering if this rim would fit my 1981 300TD. I've searched and searched to see if these will fit, but am throwing in the towel and am hoping for an answer.

Thanks in advance,
Brad

According to this wheel offset calculator:
http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

Quote:
Your new wheel will have the following chracteristics:

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 11mm MORE
The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 1mm
I used the specs from my wheels that fit with no spacers for the "current specs" (7.5 wide with offset of 25).

Sounds like they should fit just fine.

Thanks Chad

I read on another post that the stock rims are 6 X 14 with an offset of 30. If that is correct the above listed site gave me:

"The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 3mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 23mm"

Does this sound reasonable? I don't think an extra 23mm extension out is all that much - I've been wrong in the past though.

Sounds reasonable to me. 23mm is about 7/8" which is due to the wider wheel. Look under your car at the front wheel and see if you can afford to have the wheel lip 3mm closer to the Tie rod ends (I think you'll be OK there too).

Hi Brad, Yes those wheels will fit. I have mesh wheels with the same measurements and offset as you posted. No probs whatsoever on a 123.

So which wheels are they that you found?
