TireRack, do you carry spacers for MBZ? Looking for spacers from 05 to 15 mm. H&R Springs advertises wheels spacers. Does H&R have spacers with center bore of 66.56?

why do you need spacers ? We do carry some spacers for specific wheel fitments but, there are many factors when you consider (hubcentric, hardware length, etc.) using them. If you feel that you must use a spacer for some reason give me a call and I will see what I can do to help you with a fitment.

What is the offset for the AMG 5 Spoke 220? The size is 18X8.5. If the offset is high, say 46, I would need a 10mm spacer to bring it down to 36mm or a 15mm spacer for a ET of 31. The fenders would need to be rolled for a W210 E-Class. I like this updated wheel over the Aero II Monoblock. I plan on upgrading the suspension to E55 AMG parts, ie shocks/struts, sways & spings.

Just a guess... 97 E320
This wheel fits in 17" without any problems. Is this interesting? Luke ------------------ Luke Pavlick Performance Specialist (ASE Certified Master Tech) The Tire Rack (click banner at top of the page to visit Tire Rack) |

OK Luke, I know the 17 inch AMG SLK wheel (aka 5-Spoke 170) will fit. I want to be creative and fit the newer 18 inch AMG 5-Spoke 220 wheel.
I found out that the ET of the AMG 220 (MBZ part # 6-6-03-1012) is 44 for the 18X8.5 So a 10MM spacer should be just fine. Kevin,
I do understand what you are trying to do. Now let's look at what the major issues are: The 220 is drilled for 14mm hardware with a spherical seat. When you use 12mm hardware (if you can get longer bolts) the seat area does not have enough of a contact patch to be considered safe. We do not have hardware that can correct this situation and make it work. I can get the spacers for you if you want to attempt this but, I would strongly recommend that you do not use the AMG 220 wheel on your E430 Hope this clarifies things a little. Luke P.S. sorry I can't give you better news ------------------ Luke Pavlick Performance Specialist (ASE Certified Master Tech) The Tire Rack (click banner at top of the page to visit Tire Rack) |

Is that your final answer? Confident? (ala "Who wants to be a millionaire?")
I guess I will have to upgrade to a W220 S-Class. After I answer the million dollar question I will get one. You say that the 220 wheel has a spherical seat. Is the seat different for AMG versus the OEM Wheels and different for W210 specific wheels? Also, any word on lowering the price on Carlsson products? TireRack should post information & prices about all the other Carlsson products on the website. How are they going to sell if they don't advertise the body kits, suspension, exhaust and interior products. Carlsson just released their superchargers in Europe. |

Luke,
Any chance you can get MercedesShop some info on what Carlsson has available? Will Tirerack eventually sell those products? As much talk as there is about forced induction kits it would be nice to have a listing of what is offered for which cars, gains, ballpark costs, usual info. To date, many tuners are not exactly forthcoming... Thanks for anything you can dig up...Lee |

I just read a short article about the Carlsson supercharger. It is already available in the U.K. For the V6 HP was boosted to 310. The Carlsson supercharger is a bolt on project and it sits on top of the engine intake.

I think lorinser make spacers too. I just installed my 97 e420 with amg aero mono 2, 19X8.5 f, 19X9.5 r. I used lorinser spacer 12 mm front and rear. you also need to change the bolts. the rear one is little bit shorter than the front one. The wheel center cap/center bore need to be made bigger( i am not sure how big mine is after being bored) to fit the lorinser spacer.
