question rim and tire size 1994 e320 HELP
I just checked my spare in my 1994 e320 and the wheel says 15x6.5xet44. Would a 15x7xet35 offset work. The wheels have new 215/65/r15 and am concerned about rubbing Thanks to everyone Jimbo

yes it will rub, wear out suspension, speedo, tach will be off, use the oe rim and tire size that the car was designed for.

I don't believe that the 15x7 ET35 will rub, but I'm not sure about 215/65 tires (I'm currently running 16x8 ET40 with 225s).

Why not put some 20s with spinners on em! LOL.... can I have your old 8 hole 15s?
It amazes me how people will muck up a mercedes with other rim & tire sizes that did not come on or designed for the car in Germany. Especially rims, they will put some chinese made crome crap and thin non-michelin tires on it...and lower it down...got to ride like crap......(nothing looks better than a MB or AMG rim with Michelin tires). Also price goes up alot on a good set of tires when going from a 15 inch rim to a 16 inch on up.

Hmm, I've owned 12 124s, new and used, gas and turbo-diesel, sedan and wagon, 4matic and RWD. Besides that, I've worked on 124 programs as an Engineer, worked directly with M-B Engineers on programs (was a tier-1 supplier) did instrumented NVH testing in 124s, ...
My completely ignorant opinion is that of all wheel/tire combinations offered on the 124, the 16" wheel/tire combination I'm currently running rides as well as original, looks nicer, and improves response/handling. It was selected carefully, with the offset keeping the outside of the track as close to the original as possible and inside the body, and to prevent tramlining/pulling, maintaining a favorable steering-axis offset. My setup tucks the wheels in tight to the struts, with no clearance issues. The 124 did come with 16x8 wheels as original equipment in the 500E. I'm sorry that we disagree. Also, the original 1995 8-hole 15s that you mention, different offset than your original wheels.
