Good point - that is an advantage of having alloys - you can't see either side with steel wheels (because of the brake dust shields on the inner side - assuming they aren't rusted through!)

Likely story. I PM'd my address as requested- no response. I asked if you got my PM- no response. You've been posting to the forum daily for the past few weeks. A simple reply "I'm very busy at the moment, will get back to you later" would have been nice.

I have these on the front wheels of Norm and they do make a noticeable difference. I believe that Tyler said that the bundts were originally on his grandmothers 500SL when she got it new, and the dust shields came with them.

I'd be happy with or without them.

very very sorry. I have gotten several requests for the shields. I thought I did respond to you, I responded to many.
very confusing, working so late on the car in the rain and cold... memory slips. I have many shields just don't have the time to collect them and make arrangements to ship them.
maybe I figured you were going to call me, aack. I don't know. sorry sorry sorry...

These Ebay dust shields do not fit my 14" alloys. The lug patterns fit but the outer diameter is too big. Further checking revealed they are for 14" steel wheels. The seller was very careful in wording his ad and I cannot fault him (very cleave eh?). He probably knew it did not fit alloys but did not include that it fits 14" steelees only. I may still be able to make these fit by cutting the o.d. down and lose the press fit (from the bent outer edge), and use RTV to glue the outer edge in.

Bummer - I don't see why you'd want them for steel wheels. That's probably why there are still for sale.

Seller is in NC and per his feedback, has sold other Mercedes diesel items before. I wonder if he's on this forum???

Steve, DON"T damage the inserts that don't fit your wheels. I have one pulled, and will pull another tomorrow and send you up a pair FOR SURE this time. sorry I didn't get back to you the first time.
