Are wider wheels a concern?

I am thinking of adding 16x8 Et11 front / 16x9 Et10 rear to my 1987 560SEL.

This car has full hydropneumatic suspension and I have heard that wider wheels can cause stress and premature wear to suspension components.

With the particular suspension on this car being so incredibly expensive, I do not want to cause any damage by running non-stock wheels and tires.

Thoughts, question, concerns all welcomed.

Thank you.

I think you're safe with that size configuration. I am only speaking from what I've seen on the cars.

You probably wont have to roll the fenders.
