I am not very sad about the condition of all my 124 wheels.
the spare still had the OE continental on the rim. it looked like it has been on the ground maybe 5000 miles. paint perfect, fabulous condition wheel.
I want the same condition from all the other wheels. I'm tired of the "white look" on the wheels. I have a set of wheels from an amg or maybe a clk. not sure. they are wider in the rear than the front, and they are 16" 7 hole polished aluminum with clear on them. I'll put them on one of my cars once I have another 124 running. but I want the current wagon to have a perfect set of the standard 15" 16 hole rims.
anybody know what paint color to use?

7 spoke polished is off of a CLK320, something like 13.4 pounds, fantastic wheel, I have a set on my 87.

The color AFAIK is Astral Silver. Matthias sprayed my factory wheels, not sure what color he used but come on... its silver. It'll look fine.
