Unhappy Fender Rolling In So. Cal/ L.A. Area

Hello All.

I have an '87 300E on which I installed 17"X 7.5 AMG Monoblock II Rims with 225/45-17's. I also updated the suspension with Eibach springs and one notch spacers as well as added Bilstein Sport shocks. This work was performed over two years ago and I never had any problems with tire rub.

I recently moved into the So. Cal area and with my 300E fully loaded had some tire rub on the fenders. One tire now has a big dent in the side wall.

I am trying to find a place in the L.A. area that will roll the fender lips.

I called one particular place: the CEC showroom in Santa Monica. They have a website http://www.cecwheels.com which implies that they perform fender rolling (see FAQ's). I called them today and they will not perform this service unless you purchased your wheels from them. They were not very helpful at all in recommending a place that will.

Right now I am stuck and would appreciate some recommendations on where to go from here. At this point I am not interested in changing tire size as I am quite happy with this combination. I am also not a do-it-yourselfer either and would prefer a "professional" job.

Thanks in advance.

Try Globe Tire and Motorsports on the corner of La Cienega and Venice Blvd.

Otherwise you can try a bodyshop, they should also be able to do it.

Also, If you are looking for a good mechanic for the car, try Mr. MB Motors in Tarzana.
