195-70 vs 205-70 on W126

I kind of like the old bundt wheels, so I'm not going to change sizes. The car currently has 205-70-14 Michelin MXV's. They were put on in 1996, so they're getting tired. I have located a great price on Yokohama Avid 195-70-14's, but they have to order the 105's for a considerably higher price. What, if any, are going to be the tradeoffs? I like the look of the bigger tire, but at this point I'm more interested in the ride/quietness difference of the Yoko. 195-70 was the original size, so I'm sure Mercedes had a reason for that size.
I appreciate any ideas on this...would like to get them soon! These old Michelin's are about gone...

I have no experience with yoko tires but can tell you from experience that the MXV-4 Michelin is a very hard tire to beat. This is one of the best, all-around, touring tire made in the world. It's also not cheap. I may be biased in that I make Michelins for a living but I'm also a painfully honest hard-ass. If something is, in my opinion, a POS I'll say so even if I work for the company that made it.
Now as far as the tire size goes the 205 is about 14 mm taller ( about a half-inch) which isn't going to make a tremedous difference that you'll feel. The 205 will probably give a tiny increase in gas milage. And if you like the taller tire looks I would stick with it. Another forum member really likes Continentals and says they aren't as expensive. You might want to check around some more. Let us know what you decide. My 2 cents.
