I have a 1981 380 SLC.. I was wondering if i could fit 18's on it? I'm also wondering how much the ride suffers from low profile tires. thanks alot guys, this site kicks A$$.......

...whatever bigger size you eventually choose...pay close attention to ensure kosher wheel offset and rolling diameter
also suggest ensuring your suspension, chassis, braking, and steering system is 100%...if not, you may see a new large wheel/tire rolling past you as your car skids to a stop... (or a worse scenario) at minimum, the suspension on a '81 car (if not done recently)will need attention to freshen up the worn items I've seen folks do the Plus 1-4 upgrade in sizing and soon after scratch their head in wonderment pondering why their suspension/brakes/chassis/steering items failed most likely ans:> extra weight and stress of the bigger wheels/tires caused a tired system over the brink good luck -fad |
