I've been able to link the image (IMG) files online just like this site allows. The difference is I find the size that fits the page properly and I use that, so it doesn't get too big. On CL you can only use four images and they come up so small it's hardly any help. I prefer to link the images to the CL ad.

Tru Wheel of North Hollywood did the work for me. Recommended by a friend of mine. Same shop who did my friend's 19" AMG Monoblocks on his S600.

If you zoom in to this large high res photo, you'll see how the repair looks like. Very subtle and not visible at all until you look. It's the left rear wheel.
thanks. I wonder if the repair would have been invisible powder coating the rims instead of painting, since the powder coating would tent to fill the seamed area.

I really want to find a nice set of rims for my CD. I have a nice set of 14 on there now, that some po must have redone (got them off my 85D) but they are in way to good of condition to be original. I really want a lower profile tire and a bigger rim, but can't figure out the right combination.

spam? No, I've not gotten any spam from either site. heck, picassa is part of gmail, so if you have a gmail account, you have a picassa account. if you're worried about spam, just create a dummy gmail account and use that just for photo uploading...

In my signature I have 17" with low profile tires such that the OD of the tire is stock. those rode horrible and made no appreciable difference in handling other than they would tend to grab in grooves in the road, so overall they were terrible, plus the extra width was dangerous because they were close to rubbing and when one tire in the back got a slow leak it finally rubbed because of the side wall bulge made when it was low on air. I would say the best ride Ive had in my coupe was with the 15's I have now. the 14's were a little too squishy but the 15's feel just right

If I accidentally curb the rims, a repaint would be easier to fix or retouch than a powder-coated finish.

That`s great to do it that way. But how about a few months or years later when someone is doing a search, and the pictures are no longer there?

I was reading through one thread, and the guy was explaining how he went through the various steps and posted pictures. the pictures were not there anymore. the pictures should be posted on this sites server.

Just my 2¢

There are some problems posting pictures on the forum now, read where some others were having a problem. maybe this is one of the new improvements to the sites takeover.

this is certainly a problem. maybe someday the server can be upgraded to accommodate larger images... I've never had any of my pics disappear, but old posts where the members left, and the image accounts expired do indeed lose pics... sucks but it's true.

yeah I have had the same camera for 4 years so its not my camera. I sized them smaller then the requirement, it just doest allow them to upload. I even deleted all of my uploads in the profile page in case it was a memory issue.

The 16's I took off the wagon I bought with some low profiles on them actually ride better than the stock 14's. Everything seemed to tighten up, car feels great to drive now...

I still think the car could stand to be lowered a little, like and inch or so all the way around.
