yes Virginia they do exist 15" bundts!!!!

I just got a set of 15" bundts at the PNP off of a stripped Euro SL. the two rear wheels had locks but I used the hammer socket and bolt trick to get them off. one of the fronts was under a car 2 isles away so Im sure somebody had their eye on them. what are these worth now that I have them? I plan to keep my Ronals.

Are they marked with a MB star and with a part number?

Or are they reproductions?

My gut feeling would be mega bucks if you got them stripped and powder coated.

The last time I saw some scruffy reproduction 15 inch "kroonkurks" over here they were asking 750 euros - no tyres fitted - fixed price - take it or leave it mate... I don't know if they got that kind of money though...

DO NOT HAVE A TIRE PLACE WITHOUT IMMEDIATE SUPERVISION REMOVE THE TIRES. I did that with a 15 inch bundt and the center just caved in. The rim appeared worthless the and operator gave me $15. Yes, $15.

No fair: vstech has lots of cars to share

I would trade with anyone that has a clean interesting set of 15" that fit w123 w/o needing spacers!
Otherwise, if John wins...I have a newer set of tires I can offer you to match them...

All in good fun!

MTUpower: what went wrong on the tire removal to cause a rim to crush?

Cophers in Tampa. Ill postpics tomorrow, we had to pour the foundation onmy shop today. They look factory but the center caps are missing.

the hammer socket and bolt trick. works for outside form lockers. put a small bolt inside of a deep well and hammer it on the lug head, got both lockers off very easy.

Where the center caps goes is held down by the machine and force is applied to it while the arm rotates and removes the tire. The force crushed/crumpled that area extensively, and therefore the center cap could never be installed again and the rim look like crap. It appears on the 15" versions it is a weak area, so be very careful.
