wheels and susp for 300ce

I just purchased a 92 300ce and want to improve the suspension and apperance
Any ideas for a good kit and 17 inch wheel set?
I don't want to drop this thing to the ground, but i just sold my 99 m3. I am use to better handling and a more aggressive stance.
I was guessing lowing it like an inch, adding bilstiens and 17 x 7.5's w/ 235 45 17's.
Has anybody done this and can give me some feed back?

Do a search on Sportline Suspension or look under the "Featured Cars" section for details.

As for wheels, do you want to keep a "stock" or MB/AMG appearance...or are you looking for something totally different, like Neepers.

Sportline suspension, 17x7.5 wheels in et 37 to et 35, with 225/45/17 or 215/45/17 tires. Not sure exactly on the tire sizes, but I believe they are correct.

The sportline suspension with the lowest spriong pads should get you at least an inch drop.

If you want more of a drop, eibach, or H& R is the way to go.

After you do any suspension upgrade, have them align it to mercedes sportline specs.

Others will have varying opinions, I'd look for comments from JCE, Ke6dcj, Luke @ Tirerack, Chiragp, and others.

JCE has upgraded his car to the full sportline suspension.

Ke6dcj, has done extensive work on his cars, and has played with suspension quite a bit on his AMG Wagon.

Well, In my opinion, it depends on how aggressive you want to get. I have no ride, but great handling. The sportline is def the best compromise, as you almost compromise no ride qualities. As for tires combos, 235/45/17s are not the tire choice. They will rub.

On a w124, you can get away with 225/45/17s (might want a fender roll if you lower your car to get them to fit.) The sporline suspension is def a good idea if you still want to have your fillings.
